Moscova Sports Center

This project is located in Via Moscova, Milan. We were given a site that was already a sports center, and our task was to organize the area in a way that made it more livable in the surrounding environment. We have considered the urban surrounding as a reference to our design, keeping the environment inside the site in mind. The space that is lived in is well organized by placing each facility in the most suitable location, considering how each function relates to one another. Furthermore, we have also designed access points from one street to the other for easy accessibility for the public. Moreover, we added functions that are needed and useful in a sports center and some secondary programs to create an inviting atmosphere for the locals. In addition to that, we have designed a polycarbonate roof that is supported by steel columns and trusses. This roof facilitates the function and idea of a space dedicated to the sports center and makes it recognizable from a distance.
